About MeBefore I begin to blog, you should know two things. First is a little about me. If you read the author's tab, you already know I am a middle schooler who loves to probably do nothing more in her free time than READ. It doesn't matter what it is, either. Sometimes I read books that I've already read, but hey, I'm a reader. All serious readers should know what I'm talking about, am I right? I also love Minecraft, chocolate, tennis, basketball, cooking/baking, and Food Network shows like Cake Wars, Cake Masters, Cake Hunters, Cupcake Wars, Food Network Star, etc. My favorite school subjects are (no surprise) English and Reading, and my favorite animals are either kittens, dogs, or anything adorable.

My Rating System |
Enough about me, the second thing you need to know is about my rating system. In my blog, I will name the book, do a quick summary of the book (in my own words), and do a personal review of my book. Then I will do my ratings and recommendations for people of that favored type or genre. My rating system goes like this: I'll be using a system called Book Colors.
Book Colors are organized into five color groups: Red, Yellow, Green, Blue, and Purple. Red means, "This is not my type. I didn't quite enjoy it as much as I hoped I would." Yellow means, "I did enjoy some parts, but it still doesn't seem like my type of book." Green means "I didn't hate it, but I didn't love it either." Blue means "I enjoyed it. It was a good book." And lastly, Purple means "I absolutely loved this book! I would probably pick it up and read it again and again." Now, just because I rate a book Red, Yellow, or Green doesn't mean it's a 'bad' book, it just means it wasn't a book for me. If I rate a book Red, Yellow, or Green, I will also try to suggest what types of readers might like the book, even though it wasn't a great fit for my interests. Ok, enough talking, I bet you want what you came here for: the book blogging. Let's get rating. |
