Book Genre: Realistic Fiction Summary: When Will Porter transfers to a public school, he becomes a little nervous. After all, he's been blind ever since birth, and he gets around by sound and touch. During his first day, he had lots of mishaps occur. Not a good way to start a new school, right? But he soon begins to realize public high school isn't so bad. For one, he DID make friends the first day of school. Then there's Celily, the sweet, young photographer he is partnered with in his journalism class. Soon, he begins to realize he a Cecily aren't just friends...they are starting to fall for each other. Then an opportunity comes: a new surgery at the local hospital could probably give Will the eyesight he was missing since birth. Will seeing make a difference in his life? You will have to read the book to find out! Personal Review: This book was AMAZING!!! Josh is a good author, and Will is a funny character to which the reader can connect. His is punny, sweet, lovable, and sarcastic, all qualities of characters that I love. In fact, I read this book in a matter of 2 hours because I could not put it down. Recommendation: I would recommend this book for people who like realistic fiction, who like all of the different character qualities I mentioned above, and who would just plain like to read a good book.
