Author: Rick Riordan Book Color: Purple
Book Genre: Mythology (Norse) Summaries: Book 1: Magnus Chase thinks he is just like any homeless kid, living on the streets of Boston with his best buddies, Hearth and Blitz. But after a trip to his uncle Randolph's house, he finds out he is the son of Frey, Norse god of the spring, summer, and health. Soon, he is sent on a mission to find the Sword of Summer and Fenris Wolf. Book 2: When the thunder god's hammer goes missing, and with a giant wedding happening in five days time, Magnus, Sam, Hearthstone, Blitzen, and new roommate Alex evoke on yet another adventure to retrieve Thor's hammer and to stop the trickster, shape-shifting god Loki's evil plans. Personal Review: These books were AMAZING! Rick Riordan has written yet another great series full of action, magic, and yes, sarcasm. Lots of it. Magnus reminds me of Percy in so many ways, and the best way to explain all of them is to read these books. I can't wait for the third book! Recommendation: Find these two amazingly awesome books here and here.
