Author: Stacey Lee Book Color: Purple
Book Genre: Realistic Fiction Summary: Fifteen-year old Mimosa knows what the future holds for her. Being one of the only two aromateurs left in the world, Mimosa works with her mother to tend the garden and use her extraordinary nose to make elixirs that help people fall in love. But there is a catch: she can't fall in love. If she does, she will lose her ability to smell forever. But Mimosa doesn't want to be knee-deep in soil and earthworms for the rest of her life. She wants to live a normal life at high school, one that involves people not screaming in fear whenever she is around and a boyfriend who cares about her. But when by accident she gives an elixir made for the local librarian to the wrong woman, Mimosa needs to rely on what she knows and the school soccer star, Court, to undo the spell before her mother finds out and before the potion takes full effect. Can she undo the love elixir in time? Personal Review: This was a really sweet, funny book that will keep you on the edge of your toes! Mimosa is hard not to like. She is just like other teenagers: awkward, loyal, and funny. This is a amazing must read that I recommend for all this February! Recommendation: I recommend this book for readers who love action, romance, and mystery all tied up into one outstanding realistic fiction book. This certainly is a must-read and a must-try for this Valentines Day! Interesting book choice? Click here to buy it!
