Book Genre: Distopian Literature. Summaries: The Selection: America Singer was selected among thousands with 34 others to participate in The Selection; a contest of beauty, smarts, skills, and talent for a chance to win Prince Maxon's heart and be the next queen of Illea'. The Elite: 35 girls had entered The Selection a few months earlier. Now, only six remain, and if America wants to win Maxon over, she'll have to fight and stand out of the Elite in order to get the prize. The One: After months of competition, only four remain, and the time has come for the next queen of Illea' to be crowned. But when the palace attacks outside grow stronger, America soon realizes that she will really have to fight for the future she wants if she wants to be Maxon's bride. Personal Summary: I really like reading this series. At some parts, it made you feel like America was going home, put at some parts you think oh yeah, she's staying all right. You could actually FEEL the relationship between Maxon and America and the tension in the competition. Recommendation: I recommend this book for people who like distopian literature, who like books with romance and/or competition, or who wants to know more about the books I mentioned.
