Author: Jay Asher Book Color: Purple
Book Genre: Realistic Fiction Summary: Sierra's family owns a Christmas tree farm in Oregon. But every year, Sierra's family packs up and drives to California to sell their trees for the winter. Leaving one home means missing the other, and that is hard on Sierra. But then she meets Caleb, a sweet young boy who has a tough past. He works at her favorite restaurant and with the tips he earns, he buys trees for people who can't afford one themselves. Sierra begins to see past his mistakes and starts to develop a crush on him. The story gets even more interesting when Sierra realizes this might be her last year in California, and that means she may not ever see Caleb again. What will happen to Sierra if she has to live a life without Caleb? Personal Review: This, like the last book, was really great. It took a little bit longer to finish it, but it was a great read otherwise. This is a super sweet and funny book that almost all young readers will certainly enjoy reading! Recommendation: I recommend this book for readers who like fiction books with romance and sad parts tied into it. This also is a funny book too, so people who like that should read it as well.
